Long drives, real terrain
Loomis properties often have long, winding driveways with substantial setback from the road, which gives us room for operational clearances but also means the gate's placement is a design decision in itself. My driveway slopes — swing or slide?
It depends on how much grade sits inside the gate's path. Where the ground is level through the arc, a swing works; where it isn't, a cantilever or V-track slide sidesteps the grade entirely. We confirm it walking the drive with you.

Weight drives the hardware. On a large estate gate we lean toward a continuously-rated operator and heavy-duty greasable hinges sized for the real weight and cycle count, so the gate moves reliably and doesn't fatigue its own pivots over the years.
How do you protect intricate ironwork from rust?
Intricate designs can trap water, so at the critical connections we use hot-dip galvanizing or marine-grade stainless, under a UV-resistant finish. Keeping water out of the joints is what keeps a detailed gate from streaking and corroding over time.
Can you include a matching pedestrian gate?
Yes. We plan the pedestrian access and the operator integration into the entry layout at design time, so the walk-through gate matches the driveway gate and the pillar spacing accommodates both. It's part of designing the whole entrance rather than just the drive gate.
