DC Controls recently completed a full driveway entrance transformation for a residential property in Wilton, California. The project involved removing two outdated double swing gates that had fallen into poor condition and replacing them with custom-fabricated automated gate systems designed specifically for the property and the homeowner’s vision.

Working closely with the customer, our team developed a custom ornamental gate design that incorporated decorative scrollwork and personalized laser-cut swan accents to reflect the character of the property. Each gate was fabricated in-house and crafted with attention to detail, creating a unique entrance solution that combines elegance, security, and durability.

The completed installation features two custom bell-curved dual swing driveway gates serving separate entrances on the property. The graceful curved design, decorative ornamental elements, and custom laser-cut swans create a striking visual statement while maintaining the functionality required for daily use. To complement the driveway gates, a matching pedestrian access gate was also fabricated and installed, providing a cohesive appearance throughout the property.

For gate automation, DC Controls installed LiftMaster CSW24 commercial-duty swing gate operators on both gate systems, delivering reliable and smooth operation. As part of the installation, our team completed all necessary site preparation, including vehicle detection loop installation, monitored safety sensors, and UL 325-compliant entrapment protection devices to ensure safe and dependable operation.

To provide advanced access control and visitor management, we installed a DoorBird D1101KH video intercom keypad system. This smart entry solution allows the homeowner to view and communicate with visitors, remotely grant access, manage user permissions, and monitor gate activity directly from a smartphone or connected device.

Because the gate entrances were located away from the residence, DC Controls also designed and installed a dedicated wireless network bridge system, extending internet connectivity from the home to the gate location. This infrastructure allows the DoorBird system and gate controls to operate seamlessly while maintaining reliable communication across the property.
